Friday's Hunt

I have been visiting Eden Hill's blog (wonderful pictures and stories from a goat farm) earlier several times, but last week i notices, thad they also host a photo hunt every friday. So today i thought to take a chance and partisipate.

Starts with G

I was walking in woods with my camera one day and managed to capture some glittering snow on a green moss bed.

On the same trip i photographed some more glittering snow on a green spruce branch

Well, after that it took only a few days of rain and the scenery turned grey.

I desided to make a Smoothie cake for Valentine's Day and for that i needed some decorations. Found an almost perfect recipe for homemade marshmallows and had to make them. Hearts are for the cake, rest is for eating.

    1. Those water drops looked so "artistic" i had to photograph them. And the Smoothie cake will hopefully be tasty when i try it tomorrow morning. A happy Valentine to you too.

  2. Your heart marshmallows look really good, Kristina. I like to eat marshmallows, homemade ones should be extra good. The snow and ice pictures look especially good. I like to see a tree coated with ice just as the sun is coming up. They really glisten good.
Thanks for peeking in on my post. Yes, it is late for Santa pictures but I really had been wanting to post if so now had the chance to share it. Those Marines, mostly retired, work really hard at getting toy donations for the kids.
I will have to look on the map to see where Vaasa, Finland, is located and how far away we were when our Princess cruise ship stopped in Finland. Thanks, Jim

    1. Homemade marshmallows were amazingly easy to make. You get a glittering effect of the snow, if the light is just right.
Sorry, i thought they had just put out the Santa now, in february. But if the picture was taken before Christmas and you just published it now, thats OK. Putting up Santa for donations for the kids is admirable.
You have probably been in Helsinki, our capital. Vaasa is abt. 400 km northwest from there, on the western cost of Finland.

  3. Thank you so much for joining me in Friday's Hunt! Your snowy images are gorgeous! It's so pretty before the rains come; although, your water drops are quite pretty too. Those marshmallows look adorable for a festive cake!

  8. Nice choices! The Glitter of snow adds a nice look to the moss, and seeing that hint of Green lets me know that Spring is near. Homemade marshmallows are new to me, but yours are perfect for Valentines Day. Nice photo!

    1. White and green go together well, pure white could be a little dull. Homemade marshmallows are fairly easy to make and i needed some Valtine's decoration, so the timing was perfect.
